After a short interlude of connection issues, personal life of the medium getting in the way, I have once again made contact and he has finally agreed to do the reading for one of my close friends, he has also requested a lock of hair so I will forward the written text and hair to him through the post.
The collaboration is with a spiritual medium, who is advicing and guiding on particular subect areas regarding the paranormal and parapsychology. through various meetings a greater understanding is coming out through physical interaction and interview questioning of the medium.
Before meeting the medium and discussing his own practise, a series of questions were sent to him via email, mainly concerning in asking him questions on specific issues that have been researched into mediumship and parapsychology, quizzing him on articles that had highlighted certain aspects of belief, religion, and life after death.
The medium responded with certain elements that clarified the reserach undertaken, especially in the field of medium and the elements it contains as well as being informative about his own experience, which was extremely enlightening.
Here is the response in his own words about his experiences through the process and development of becoming spiritual within the sense of communicating with the dead.
As well as the church which is all spiritual, we can also go to a haunting and do a vigil at the Mill .its table topping, glass moving and a walk around in the dark with a medium, people and parapsychologists, inviting spirits to come forward and make sounds n stuff...just like most haunted...again its a different angle and your aloud to take your own camera n stuff too.

Contact, if you’re a sensitive then you’ll feel it and especially from the kids who used to work there, they like to have a play...I was also thinking that I could do you a psychometry reading for you to. Best if its from someone you don't really know, that way when you come round and sit, I can talk to you and explain everything bit by bit and rather than you having to think about whether what I’m saying to you makes sense...I’ve got two to do at the moment so if you get a third (could be your mum or a friend) and get them to think of what they would like answering and then simply get them to write on a piece of paper - id' like a reading please' and that’s it...see what I can get out of it. Q. Going on the medium the ooother night it came to my awareness that the lady said to one of the girls that she should of had an extra brother or sister, the girl looked extremely shocked and upset by this prospect and I was wondering, do you ever not tell the whole of the message as it may offend or upset or do you tell the message as you receive it. I know you all do your readings differently so really I just want to know what you personally do and think to this.
A. The common rule which I was taught and have read in books is that you should always hold the person your giving the reading too in the highest respect and be aware of their feelings more than anything. As everybody is different, some mediums think that they must be brutally honest and say all no matter what the consequences...I myself don’t really and as vie seen on TV they don’t either. If you do get a message similar to your question, then the talent of the medium is to be tactful and in a few cases were the spirits will be insistent that you pass the message on and you'll find that as they were in life, they are in death and don’t really care about their response to the message, as well as being tactful you may have to sometimes restrain the message or completely re-phrase as not to offend...its difficult sometimes and quite funny. Imagine being an interpreter between two foreigners...something said by one, can be taken totally different by the other so the art is in the mitigation and if you are always thinking of the kindest way to pass the message on, things tend to come out right...
Q. Where do you believe we go when we die? And why is it that some spirits still remain bad?
A. I believe that we leave our bodies and our energy stays either here of goes to what we call heaven. And is able to flit between the two...spirits are around us all the time, some visiting and some are grounded just wandering about visiting places they loved or feel trapped by. If our sixth sense were switched on continuously, we'd see and feel an awful lot more. Like bees, they’d buzzing about and flying all around you. Going to Heaven is a choice we all can make. Spirits who are grounded i.e. unable to leave the earth stay because they choose too…they may have left their physical by a means unnatural and so weren’t ready to die and as such don’t want to leave the earth just yet…or they could have been mean people who carried out cruel acts and although the see the white light to heaven and literally scared of retribution and maybe hell even on the other side and so don’t walk to the light and stay here carrying on feeling nasty, causing chaos and disturbance…
Re: bad spirits, I believe that some spirits remain bad simply because they choose to be, as we are in control of our feelings and responsible for our own actions, in death we are the same...
Q. Are you religious, or have you ever been religious?
A. I guess I am religious to a certain way… I abide by the bible, i.e. treat people with respect, nicely and don’t wish harm on anyone but that’s about as far as it goes. I’ve been taught that when dealing with spirit, you need a light of protection simply because spirits like humans can try and dominate, leave seeds in your mind, make you feel as bad as they do etc. The light of protection we ask from God simply because he is the top guy, everything else is below. I believe it is faith that protects us all…the unknowingly belief that life exists beyond and that there is something ‘else’ out there bigger than us….
Q. Why do you think the dead contact the living?
A. The same reasons as they do in life…some have a message they wish to pass on, some wish to guide us when you need it most, some wish to warn, some wish to show love and even something as simple as them missing us, or wanting to be nosy and seeing how were all getting on are all reasons for them to contact us. Another reason I missed out is despair. If a person crossed over through unnatural methods then found themselves as a spirit, they may be lost like a child wandering around looking for it’s mother, like you may have done when you got lost in a shop when you were little? I know I did…. so these people well may need understanding and love and so make disturbances, poltergeist disturbances. Imagine you were so frustrated and mad you were a spirit and wanted to express your anger at someone who had killed you, or just simply through your experiences may wish to chuck stuff about…or they may wish to be shown how to cross over, i.e. look for the light and walk towards it… imagine if you were on top of a cliff, would you walk off it? No because you would die. What if you were dreaming? What if you knew that Heaven lay on the other side and rather than wandering alone of a cliff top, scared, cold, miserable and lost, you took that leap of faith into the unknown…. would you still do it? or would you wander about getting pissed off and angry, upset…If you mum came to see you on top of the cliff, took your hand and told you it was ok to cross over into the light, would you do it then??…Maybe… so it’s similar really.
Why do you feel it necessary to follow in this path?
Its in my thoughts…looking back I used to draw pictures of ghosts when I was a kid, its no different to a child wanting to be a spaceman, I guess its somewhere in your mind, its what feels right and its what you’d be good at. It’s only the last 2years i.e. when I hit 30 that everything seems to have fell into place and even stranger is that it too a complete mental breakdown for it to happen, my recovery seemed to be my training…fucking mental I know but its how it happened for me…actually going through something so destructive and debilitating has taught me empathy and drive beyond all my expectations…looking back I too was wandering for a very long time until I woke up one day and someone in my sleep said right its now time to do this….and so it started. Its funny but once you open the door to spirit they wont let you go…not in a scary sense…once you open your heart to helping others and being sensitive to spirit they’ll always find a way to guide you back one way or another…I’ve lived in haunted homes and experienced activity pretty much throughout my entire life…to get me into what I'm doing now, I had a ton of activity in the flat…when I saw the flat I was attracted, they call out to you, make things happen – you think you are lucky…most of the time its spirit working in your favour… but yes the flat got well active, I started to talk about it to a friend, he started to talk about it, saw the mill in the paper for ghost walks, we went on, we found a development circle, we found an inner circle…within 12months from start to finish I’m on the platform giving out readings…its that quick and when the time is right, they don’t hang about…since I became a trainee medium, there’s no activity in the flat unless I summon it…mad ey?…
Q. In what ways do you receive these messages?
Depending on what type of medium you are, determines how you receive information. Imagine that everything vibrates…you may not see it, but you feel it…when someone walks over your grave, you feel it…that’s the start of being a medium.
They teach you awareness first of all, you feel things you sense pretty much like your smell, sight & sound…you cant explain how you do it but you do, ok science can and science has also proved that a gland in your mind (otherwise known a the third eye) is the organ which allows you to sense the ‘other’ stuff/…. you just need to train it that’s all. Imagine you haven’t walked for a couple of years and then start, at first you’d be in agony working hard but as you develop you’d soon start running…
I received messages through feelings and my mind…they teach you how to communicate with spirit through the mind…
Have you ever looked at someone and pushed your thoughts to him or her unknowingly…then suddenly they look at you with a look of intensity? You’ve pushed out that thought and they have most likely received it. …They may stare at you as they don’t understand what the thought was as they are not trained in knowing how to deal with these feelings, but they do indeed look at you intensely as though they were actually listening…. I get physical feelings, sensations, thoughts, images, sounds, symbols etc.
Q. How do you feel when you have these encounters?
A. When your not trained, you have encounters but shrug them off…if your face gets tickly once your trained you’ll know the difference between a tickle and a spirit wanting to chat…I personally feel cool about this, I keep disciplined and don’t start talking to them but sometimes they do neither and it’s like having feathers brushing all over your face etc… I have started to hear voices sometimes…mainly just shouts or screams when I’m deep in thought I must open up a bit…I had one yesterday at work I heard a really loud scream in my ear expecting the team to be laughing at something but they weren’t they were working…its not scary as there is nothing to be scared about, no different if a mate was shouting me id either listen or ignore…I also get a buzz of the feeling of being in a haunted location…the energy is thrilling… I used to get scared before I was taught so I guess that’s why I'm cool with it now. And to be honest I've been more scared standing up in front of a live audience either Ding or doing a presentation, the dead are a piece of cake….he he
Q. Have you ever produced a reading/message that has had negative effects?
A. I hope not…as readings are meant to guide and provide comfort, they are always positive. You do have to be careful as people put incredible amounts of trust in what your saying so you have speak from the heart and carefully…People will take your readings as law and I myself have taken a reading and lived it, pushed it to make it happen…but if the reading is positive and positive actions come out of it then its all good.
Q. What do you think is the meaning of life and death?
Hmmm…god knows mate…and I’m sure he/she/it is the only one that does! Ha ha. I believe it’s a training ground, to learn to become something good but again anything past that is beyond me…again faith in the unknown strikes a chord.
Q. How would you prove to me that there is life after death?
A. Obtaining confirmation through loved ones who have passed to the world of spirit. As mentioned before they continue to watch over you keeping an eye on what your up to etc and in that they have information in which the medium would not or could not know about. Sceptics say ‘you could make it up’ or ‘its co-incidence’ which I suppose are reasonable factors. Mediums when working are trained not to use the front part of our brains, we use the back were all we do is see & feel & hear, sounds, sensations and images, we simply just throw this experience to the mouth and explain…once you start to think about what it is your seeing, the connection drops…the message does take two people beside the medium, the sender and the receiver after all it’s their experiences which match up not the mediums knowledge in what this person looks like, what they may do for a living etc..Unfortunately there are charlatans who guess…a lot of others don’t and that’s why we ask questions. Scenario. You have a connection in your mind and you throw back the thought to spirit, ‘come on tell me/show me something which they have recently done, where you saw them etc’…and you wait and they send you back what they know…now it’s difficult to maintain a one to one conversation so they tend to show you a image or a group of images. When I did the platform one spirit showed me a spinning spanner and someone bent down knocking a nail into wood, to me that’s means nothing so I explained and I asked are you having some work done at the moment as their showing me a spanner and knocking nails into wood, they replied yep, just having a new kitchen fitted. I know its not exact but then again, its pretty much on right track…with experience you are able to tune in more and funny enough its up to the spirit as it’s them who conveyed me the message. If they are good at it, they may just talk to me, if they are not so good, a symbol is all I get….
Q. What truth do you think there is in the experiences that people having near to death?
A. Near to death experiences I believe could well happen…crossing over is simply like crossing a road – there is a threshold to when your over so anything near that and in any manner at which you get yourself near to it, bait in your sleep or after a car crash…

Well what a night, completely surprised myself after working myself up all day about it, the strangest thing took place after picking them up in a taxi, the questions rolled of my tongue I couldn’t help myself any longer, so how did you get into medium ship then? He first apologised for not emailing me the answers to my question back sooner but he is still answering them, as he seems to be babbling on in the answers. I replied that is perfect. So the story went to show that he has always had a feeling but it was when he moved into his latest flat with Suzi his girlfriend that he really began to experience things happening around him, I went on to question him further but he declined to answer, although after leaving the taxi he explained that he felt uneasy with the taxi driving and what his opinion may be, understandable really we were talking about contacting the dead and seeing and hearing things. But he did go on to tell me that he spent a night at Pleasley Mill, a run down mining shaft, he briefly mentioned glass moving and something else that I can’t really recall, (that’s where that recording device would of come in handy). The next question I asked were do you see the dead he went on to highlight the Pleasley Mill incident, although he felt unaware to associated the man he saw as being down, all the time I am trying to read his reactions with the answers he gives, and in a way I sense they are sincere but I always hold an element of doubt about people, must be that lack of trust I have for the fellow human kind. Anyway that man he was talking about was seen in the main courtyard where the workers would of eaten they dinner. Apparently in his words the man walked in to the yard like any physical being would off, he spoke of him being a big bloke head held down and it was only afterwards that he learned the man is known as a resident ghost.
I so wish, I had a recording device would have been perfect to get it in his own words. But next time

The thoughts lay in the back of the mind, the messages flash into the front of his mind either film view, words, objects he spoke of how most people receive these messages but lay them down to being their own conscious thought so they dismiss them from being anything more.
So we got to the spiritual church only we arrived mid way through hymn that I had been pre warned about before entry although I did not expect to be centre of attention on entry as all heads turned my way no seats fuck, the only thought I had was I did not want to stand all the way through… luckily after the hymn they offered us seats big friendly smiled filled the room I felt relived, very at ease so we sat, although I sat smack bang in front of the electric fire, bare in mind this is a small spiritualist church in the middle of a street full of houses, you know them small 60 people max and that’s at a push, so a had this boiling dry heat straight in front of my face, so then I begin to unload my coat bare in mind I am sat on my own fitted on the front centre, smack bang view of the lady medium, I feel a bit bad really as I will have to refer her to the funky pink haired lady, as her hair was immaculate. As I looked on another hymn began ok so I don’t have a hymn book don’t know the words, a new comer not taking part unsure of what I have to do, as if I should as this way I am welcoming the spirits to be good and pleasant. Although I would prefer it this way…
I lean over to my right to read the words of the other lady’s hymnbook trying to think of the hymn but it’s gone. Love shine a light. Quietly I muffled the words, trying to find the right key, the Lord’s Prayer was also pronounced during the intermission of the songs. Off the pink haired lady went, talking about first timers and calling them treacle, referring to there stickiness in answers and the uncertainty, she preceded speaking first to a man sat behind me, felt uneasy looking at the man as it felt that it was between him and the medium, the lady had a great sense of humour in her performance I will call it a performance as she was stood raised up at the front, I probably would call it an alter, the room were filled with posters of spirituality, and the ten Indian commandments or something very similar. So she proceeded, telling him she can she a miner and someone in the war, and she spoke of boxing and an argument between two men. After the hearing had finished I spoke to the man who said she was correct in some things but his look would give me away about his dad being a miner and his granddad being in the war, but he did highlight that his granddad was a champion boxer, which to me is quite remarkable as few people are involved in the boxing world, so the fight was maybe one of his own. After each reading/ message the pink haired lady would say goodnight and god bless as in ritual to letting the spirit move on. One gentleman was told he had a long queue of people wanting to tell him something, so the messages rolled out and the lady through out the night received many spirits talking to him. In a lot of cases she told specific names that people recognised and messages they had from them. One specific lady looked extremely shocked with what she had to say, for she told her that she should off had had an extra brother or sister
What I am trying to say is that this has been very inspirational for me and provided answers to some questions and opened others up for me. The context of research has been confirmed by personal experience and made me realise what Danica has been saying with the effect that with the afterlife religion is always involved whether it be strong doctrines or simply belief in god, without the preaching and sacrificing of life’s things. Especially with the lords prayer being said and the religious hymns. So I will accept the religious connotations within my thinking but they are not the primary element within my work, I am aware of their happenings and beliefs but choose to lay this much lower than the thought of transformation and awareness to a belief.
I so wish, I had a recording device would have been perfect to get it in his own words. But next time

The thoughts lay in the back of the mind, the messages flash into the front of his mind either film view, words, objects he spoke of how most people receive these messages but lay them down to being their own conscious thought so they dismiss them from being anything more.
